Pretty much the only groups that have effectively put pressure on the government to get involved in Darfur actually have been evangelical groups, so this one is pretty unfair.
Tyler: we should point out that there political evangelicals with a anrrow minded agenda, and second, evangelicals that leave us gays alone. I agree as to the latter, but the former - ask yourself this question: how much money was spent on international aid relief versus the Prop 8 campaign. Now tell me how unfair this is?
Much more is spent on international aid. To be fair, you would have to ask how much gays donate to poverty relief. This is just not a winning game. Claiming that evangelicals don't care about poverty isn't fair to them, since most Americans don't care at all about suffering outside America.
